Hello all
After our first fortnight of cricket, there are a few points I would like to share with you all.
1) Match Day Sponsors - This is a very important event in the CBC Calendar. It is something that we have gained a lot of support from in the past and we would like to continue this season. I have attached the letter once again for you to use. Basically, we need all of our members to talk to their contacts/family/friends etc about sponsoring our Club. For just $50, this is a great investment for any business. If you have someone who will sponsor the Club, please get their money and details to Tony Hilton or anyone on the committee this week. The Match Day Sponsors Evening (which we would hope all members could attend) will be held on Thursday 22 August at Karoonda, after training.
2) On Saturday 31 October, our annual Horse Racing evening is on again. Form Guides are due out soon and we would love to have a big crowd come down to our first big social event of the year. Numbers at training have been fantastic, so if this is any indication, the Horse Racing evening should be HUGE! It really is a fantastic night and it would be great to have big numbers there. This is an event that anyone (playing members or not) will enjoy so put it in your diary and get down to the Club on the 31st.
3) CBC is playing in its first 20/20 match this Sunday at 1:00pm against Phoenix at Tempest Park. The team will be named on Thursday and the team would love some support on Sunday if possible so come on down!
4) Congratulations to the following players on a stand out performance in the first 2 weeks of the season:
Luca Fielding (1st grade) - 5/29 of 16 overs
Peter Waite (1st grade) - 3/43
Brad Bootsma (1st grade) - 66 not out
Oliver Beath (1st grade) - 63
Chris Broom (1st grade) - 56
Matt Milner (2nd grade) - 4/56
Nik Hofmeester (One Day Cs) - 73
Lee Aschettino (One Day Cs) - 3/42
As I said before, training numbers have been fantastic - Please keep coming along and do not forget the Match Day Sponsors or the Horse Racing Night.
See you during the week
